WASHINGTON -- The owner of two dogs who attacked and killed a neighbors dog in the Central Park area over the weekend has had the animals put down.
Chief Criminal Deputy Dave Pimentel says B.J. Pitts took the dogs to an area vet this morning with the help of the county Animal Control Officer and had the Pit Bull and Shepard mix euthanized.
The dogs were found in a neighbors yard on Saturday, covered with blood after they apparently entered the yard, attacked and killed the neighbors three-year old yellow Labrador.
Pimentel says Pitts has been compliant during the investigation and “wanted to make right with the community”.
