Dog Attack Attorney, Thomas J. Newell, Collects $53k For Bucks County Pit Bull Attack Victim

PENNSYLVANIA -- On October 21, 2013, Pennsylvania dog attack attorney, Thomas J. Newell, collected a $53,000.00 settlement for a pit bull attack victim in Bucks County. On that date, Judge C. Theodore Fritsch, Jr. of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, Case #2013-0515, approved Attorney Newell’s Petition for Minor’s Compromise.

The 15 year old victim is guaranteed a total payment of $41,510.00 as a result of the structured settlement annuity plan proposed by Attorney Newell and approved by Judge Fritsch.

As described in great detail in Attorney Newell’s 11 page Petition for Minor’s Compromise filed of record in Doylestown PA, the then 13 year-old boy was visiting his friend at his home in Hulmeville PA on 6/08/12.

The defendant homeowner was sitting on her porch and waived the boy into her home as he walked up the front steps. Soon after he opened the front door, the unleashed pit bull charged and attacked him.

The boy instinctively put up his arms to protect his face. Both arms/hands were bitten, as well as his right leg which he also used to try to fend off the pit bull.

As described in the aforementioned court document, the Bucks County dog bite victim was taken to Doylestown Hospital where the ER doctor used 9 stitches to close the dog bite wounds. Fortunately, the lacerations healed without any infections and no plastic surgery was required.
