CANADA -- Two people are in the hospital after being attacked by a dog early this morning.
It happened at an apartment on Ash Street.
“There was quite the commotion around 3 a.m.,” says reporter Greg Harper with Breakfast Television on City. “Neighbours said they heard screaming and a woman has significant injuries to her head and face. She came out with a blanket covering her body. She was taken to hospital, as was a man who was also bitten. We’re hearing there were two children in the suite at the time.”
“It was a pit bull mauling,” says one neighbour. “That pit bull was not beknownst to any of us. Never saw the pit bull in that building.”
New Westminster Police have confirmed a dog biting incident; they say the two adults have non-life threatening injuries.
It appears the dog belongs to the two people in the suite. It was also taken away, but there’s no word on what will happen to it, if anything.
