According to the citations, the incidents occurred on Feb. 16.
The sheep, one citation stated, was “left lying, in plain view to the public, on a pile of carcasses from the prior evening depriving the animal of necessary sustenance including but not limited to neglect, lacking sanitary shelter and failing to protect the animal against inclement weather to preserve the animal's body heat.”
The animal was not able to move, the citation said.
In each case, the animal had to be euthanized because of the severity of its condition.
