Wabash Co. man, James Bobbitt, pleads not guilty to animal cruelty charge

ILLINOIS -- A Wabash County, Illinois man at the center of a gruesome animal cruelty case is pleading not guilty.

Sheriff’s deputies believe James Bobbitt left three dogs to fend for themselves with no food, no water, and poor shelter.


One dog died and another had to be put down.

Bobbitt is facing an aggravated animal cruelty charge. He entered a not guilty plea.

He will be back in court on October 19.
