Clinton Joseph Johnson, 17, pleads guilty to animal cruelty for torturing and stabbing tiny dog

TEXAS -- Clinton Joseph Johnson, 17, of Beaumont, pleaded guilty to one count of Cruelty to Animals in front of Judge John Stevens in the Criminal District Court of Jefferson County.

A spokesperson for the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office said Johnson made a weapon comprised of a ten foot pole with a four inch blade attached to it for the purpose of killing a dog in the neighborhood.

Johnson slashed the dog’s neck and penetrated the dog’s right hip down through the leg, and the blade broke off through his leg.

"Neighbors of this caring community were able to trap the dog and take him to the vet for medical attention including removal of the blade," says a statement released by the D.A.
