GEORGIA -- Deputy Jacob Law with the Macon County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to 482 Pointe Lane due to a complaint that dogs living there were in poor condition.
According to the affidavits, several reports had already been made about the five dogs at the residence by concerned neighbors, who had been trying to get food to the dogs. Bones could clearly be seen on the dogs and they didn’t have water.
Law spoke to the minors at the residence and they stated that they didn’t have the money or food to feed the three dogs outside. There were two pit bull puppies inside. Law questioned the child about them and the child stated that his parents just got them and they paid $100 a piece for them to breed.
Anthony Sanders, 38, of 492 Pointe Lane, Lafayette, was arrested on 2/25 and charged with cruelty to animals. His court date is set for 3/16 with a $500 bond.
