Wyoming: Cheyenne man, Joshua Baker, on probation for child abuse, kills girlfriend’s dog

WYOMING -- oshua S. Baker pleaded no contest Thursday in Laramie County District Court to a single count of cruelty to animals-resulting in death.

Baker, 25, told police in November that he threw a newspaper at his girlfriend’s Chihuahua, Phoebe, because the dog pooped in the house.

He also admitted to grabbing the tiny dog and throwing her into the backyard.

Court documents say the dog later died as a result of her injuries.

Baker committed the act while on felony probation for three counts of child abuse committed about a year ago.
