FLORIDA -- A nine-year-old girl was bitten in the face by her family dog – a pit bull - this afternoon in Orange County and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
She was in serious condition and transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
County fire-rescue personnel were dispatched shortly before 2 p.m. to a home on Triple Crown Circle, not far from State Road 417 and Curry Ford Road, according to agency spokeswoman Kathleen Kennedy.
Sheriff's deputies also were there, and so was a crew from Orange County Animal Services.
Other details were not available.
