This is Julianna. At 3 years old she lived through a terrifying dog attack and suffered serious wounds to her face and back. It took a week and half in the hospital for her to recover and start healing.
In spite of her scars, this little girl is one of the happiest, most well-adjusted children I have ever met, and that is a testament to her mom, Stephanie, her dad, and the rest of her loving family. We work with Stephanie and she has spent months trying to find the right doctor to perform corrective surgery to minimize the scars that make Julianna feel so self-conscious.
After working with a doctor in Boston, she found out that they could not use her Rhode Island health insurance, and she was back to square one. But today, the doctor's office called and he has offered to help with more than half the cost! Unfortunately, they cannot set up a payment plan and the fee would be due up front. If Stephanie had the money, they could perform the surgery as soon as next week.
This is where we come in! If we can all pitch in a little, I think we can raise the money in no time to help this sweet, funny, fabulous little girl! Julianna is such a trooper and is always smiling, in spite of her injuries. Would you please help us help her?
