The siblings, a male and female, were transported to The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine where Curator Coy went to accept custody.
The cubs, examined by Dr. Morrison and her team, are about five months old, the same age as Finnegan. The male weighs 13.2 pounds and the female weighs 15.4 pounds. Apart from a few ticks, they seem to be in good health. Since the cubs had to be sedated for examination, they received their ear tags.
Their mother did well by her cubs; they are healthy and strong. We will honor her by doing everything we can to give them a second chance at life in the wild. Please welcome Andy and Eliza Bear.
