Oklahoma: Woman bitten by pit bull gets blasted online by pit's owner and her friends

OKLAHOMA -- After Jennifer Jones posted a simple comment that she was at the hospital after being bitten by a pit bull, Lacey Montgomery (the pit bull owner) got irate and posted on Facebook a comment about Jennifer Jones' comment.

Jones didn't "out" Montgomery's pit bull as being the dog that attacked her, but Montgomery felt the need to go on the defensive and post a complaint about it:

"For all my friends out there who know my dog Willie she is saying that he done this!!! Can I please get some clarification on how he has never been vicious or bit anybody. And to clear up one thing her dog came at Willie first when the attack happened..."

That prompted other comments, including ones from Jones, who was attacked by Montgomery's pit bull.

Tiffiney Martin: Is he that big blue pit???if so omg that dog is precious. He was super sweet. And I'm a complete random ass stranger to him.

Jerrette Chaney: Na i don't belive that for a second Lacey he may look intimidating to somebody that dosent know him but he is without a doubt the softest male pit bull I've ever owned or been around. Never acted aggressive twords other animals either. She is probably being really dramatic about it.

Jennifer Jones (victim): Well it did happen this is the third occurrence it's been on my property that the dog done it and I'm not playing this game my dogs never been on her property when the fight started between Willie and my dog it was on my property my dog was on a leash with a collar he only broke his leash to protect me Willie attacked my dog now if we want to play this game will play it I'm not playing no games with nobody this is the third occurrence I've done been to the ER I've done have 3 police reports on it if she doesn't want to give me the information I need to find out whether he's had his shots or not then we will do what we have to do like the cops told us to do I don't want no problems I'm not going to deal with nobody either she can in the problems and give me the information I need to know like the officer said or I'll go hire an attorney and we'll go from there and I'll still get the information I need to know whether he's got shots or not I have not caused any problems for nobody the dog has been on my property it has attacked my son it is attack me and it has attacked my dog on my property I have not been on her property on any of the attacks it's been on my property so y'all can back off of me you can leave me alone or I will call Jim and I will get to the bottom of it I'm not playing this game with nobody I don't bother nobody I stay to myself so everybody can back off of me and my family and leave us alone or I will contact him and then I will contact an attorney and I will make sure that I get the information I need so it could stop bashing me now everybody can quit because I know it happened

Lacey Montgomery (pit owner): Can I see a picture of the bite please

Jennifer Jones (victim): Really that's why when Lindsay hit Willie with a bandana on his butt really turned around and growled at Lindsay and turned on him so where is not vicious foot there's three Place reports the loss of it out there all three times the loss of one that told me to go to the ER tonight so y'all want to bash on me go right ahead because I really don't care I don't bother nobody I stay to myself so does my family and as soon as I get ahold of Jim Jim will know about this this report that she put on Facebook

Morgan Keith Taylor: Why is all this being aired on Facebook... miss Jones seriously are you afraid of pit bulls? They have been given a bad name.. only by owners that mistreat them.. Willy has a very mild nature and is not a threat unless you are an aggressive person trying to do harm to his family.. if Willy bit you you'd need more than a tetnous shot... relax, stop shouting and screaming all this nonsense.

Tammi D Tryon: As a rescuer, foster and a person who works specifically with pitbulls a dog of any breed can at anytime show aggression just like humans. If they are provoked, feel cornered, not feeling well, or such.

A scratch is NOT an attack. And to put on Facebook attacked by a pit bull only stirs up drama. If really "attacked" by a dog just say a dog [rather than pit bull].

I do agree dogs should be in their own yard or on a leash for many reasons. But don't blame any breed for what one dog does.

On top of berating the victim for having the nerve to identify the type of dog which attacked her, Tammi Tryon is doing the classic victim blaming and minimizing. You know how defense attorneys for rapists would ask victims why they didn't have really bad injuries, 'Didn't you try to fight him off? You couldn't have tried too hard...you don't have any injuries'. and then insinuating that they must've 'wanted' it because they weren't horribly injured.

Watch these videos and tell me that "it's no big deal" because the victims didn't end up dead or with limbs ripped off:

Because Jones didn't have her arm ripped off, didn't have her eyeball ripped out, or die Tryon minimizes the terror that Jones felt while fending off a very large pit bull that was intent on attacking her.
