At first I really didn’t think it could be mine they are so friendly and passive and on my property. A pit bull running [loose in] the neighborhood grabbed Bocelli and was dragging him around like a rag doll.
Thankfully the neighbor guy and wife saw him being mauled and knew Bocelli.
They were throwing stuff at the pit-bull, hitting him with metal rods but it didn’t stop him, the man ran and got his gun shot him over 5x before he even let Bocelli go, then only let him get a few feet away and grabbed him again.
I ran around the front yard calling him, I ran back into the house hoping it wasn’t him but there he was standing there his little body covered in mud and blood and shaking so badly barely holding himself up. I scooped him up and ran to the shower so I could see the real damage.
Bocelli’s little body was shaking and he could not walk. You can see over 20 punctures marks all over his body. Apparently, pit bulls grab heads and shake little dogs until their little spines snap.
The Parkway Animal Clinic cleared a space for the emergency and treated Bocelli immediately. They gave him shots for infection and pain. They said Bocelli was very lucky, The pit came close to his eye but didn’t get it. I have posted pictures on his FB page. It also grabbed his penis and hind end area.
He didnt do well after the ER visit, and was back to 24/7 Overreach Animal Hospital to see a new Veternarian Dr Jill. She treated him with antibiotics and more pain meds and scheduled surgery for first thing in the morning.

There has been an overwhelming support of love sent to him and I feel the only reason he is still alive which I am so very thankful.
The monies will go to the 3 ER visits, Surgery, 7 Plus medicines they have him on, follow ups to come and possible legal fees to find and hold accountable the owner of the Pitbull.
Be cautioned; the pics are graphic and FB supporters are as angry as I am and very upset as they share their very shocking and sad stories. Which you really cannot help when you see his little mangled body.
This is my first GoFundMe page and has been created at the request of the many people following his progress. Please be patient if I do something wrong or if you have questions as I am caring for my little man Bocelli 24/7 and he is my priority but I will respond. Miniature Schnauzer Puppies added 3 new photos — feeling sad at Overwatch Animal Hospital.

Well good news and maybe not so good. His belly and private parts are better than expected and the holes in his stomach / private part areas are not to many layers deep and still bleeding. Half of his face has been removed and has scars up under his ear and a tube in his face.
Dr. Jill hopes he won’t lose the whole surface of the rest of where the tube is as his face skin has been ripped away from the face structure. She could not cut out all the dead skin because there was not enough to close it back up. So you will see a long scar and tube and later pics of his hind and belly. I can’t lift his little leg now. He is still sedated.
She is worried about infection and now we have 5 medicines plus a cream and stuff I had to buy; triple antibiotic plus tube face flush. This is really just terrible, BUT.
I am More than grateful he is still alive and I am thankful for everyone’s prayers 🙏 and positive energy for Bocelli. He needs all the Love ❤️ he can for the next few critical days. Thank you

PLEASE EVERYONE...THIS IS A SAFE & GOOD CAUSE. This is to help Bocelli the Miniature Schnauzer (the 5 year old puppy of our Miniature Schnauzer Sally). He celebrated his 5th Birthday on Monday and was attacked by a vicious pit bull the very next day while standing in his own yard in Clarksville, Tenn.
I insisted that the owner Margaret P. Clarke start a GoFundMe page even though she felt very uncomfortable about asking for help; but after repeated calls & messages going unanswered by the area Animal Control near her home in Clarksville, Tenn., and any hope of finding the pit bull and his owner have fallen to deaf ears, she had no other recourse, than to ask for help with the extended expenses for this unexpected tragedy that will change little Bocelli's life forever.
There are well over 200 puncture wounds to Bocelli's little body and his face is so mangled they have a tube connected for drainage. If infection sets in he will lose even more of his sweet little face.
PLEASE go to the owners FB page or under Miniature Schnauzer Puppies page out of Clarksville, Tn. and see for yourself how much Bocelli will have to recover from. He's got a very long road ahead & many more trips to the Vet ahead of him all because the owner of a very aggressive, vicious animal did not control him and won't do the right thing & come forward to pay restitution.

Do to all the additional questions about his hind area I am going to post the pics that I have taken without moving him too much.
He has well over well over 20 puncture wounds on his body. He is still just laying. I’ve tried to feed him: can dog food, rotisserie chicken, 5 different kinds of his favorite treats, he just is not interested in anything yet.
5 days no real food. Thankfully the vet had giving him IVs. He is normally a light eater and thin. Maybe tomorrow. He has been laying and very calm all day. I put the medicine on some of the puncture wounds and flushed the tube.
No word yet on the Pit Bull. No contact at all from my many calls to Animal Control nor my email.
Thank you everyone and I know this is emotionally draining but please Please continue praying. . I am very happy to have the surgery over, have him home and on the bumpy road to recovery.
Did they shoot the Pit with Bird Shot ?
