Rhode Island: Pekingese named Munchkin mauled while in her own yard by a Pit Bull

RHODE ISLAND -- our fur baby Munchkin was attacked in our yard by a pit bull, we told the owner the bill amount he said he didn't have that kind of money, & why were we getting her help she is gonna die anyway

please any help would be great, we are on a fixed income, we borrowed the money to save her but we would love to pay back the ones who helped
