A graphic photo shows the injuries to her stomach. Even worse, part of her ear was bitten off and reattached by plastic surgeons, who are using leeches to restore circulation.
Saturday, Brianna was playing outside with her neighbors on Kentucky Street in Detroit. One of the little boys let Nina, the pit bull, out of his house.

At first the dog was fine, but then it attacked Brianna.
"I tried to pull her off her, but she wouldn't let go," neighbor Jason Johnson told FOX 2.
"She said the devil tried to get me. That's what she told me," said Delaney Baynham, Brianna's aunt.
"I'm devastated, devastated to see her like that. It just breaks my heart," said Delaney, Baynham, Brianna's grandmother.
"I really don't honestly see why people want those kind of dogs around their kids in the first place," said George Baynham, Brianna's father.
The neighbors feel terrible and said the dog is about a year old and has never been a problem. If she is returned to them, they plan to find another place for her to live.
"She's never (done) anything. She doesn't play rough with them. She never bit … me," said Jason Johnson, who owns the pit bull.
It's not yet clear what will happen with the dog. She is currently quarantined for ten days in accordance with state law. Animal Control is conducting its investigation, and the dog may or may not be returned to her owner depending on how dangerous they determine she is.
However, if it's up to Brianna and her family, the dog won't leave Animal Control.
"I just don't think that dog should be let loose. I think (she) should be put down," said the girl's aunt.
