California: Let's see this website "Rumble" do an article about how this woman's elderly Boston Terrier was disemboweled by Pit Bull that invaded her yard

CALIFORNIA -- Lesley Fullmer Kennedy posted on Facebook, November 24, 2017 at 11:25am ·

In response to one of the many, many pro-pit bull propaganda articles being pushed on us by media outlets lately, including this site called Rumble, Lesley responded:
 ·
Some pit bulls cannot be compared to labs and tiny dogs. Sometimes they are vicious killers. Don’t be stupid! My Boston was killed by a pit bull, not a Lab.

Labs don’t kill. Many pit bulls have killed people and other animals- they can be dangerous.

My dog died a horrible death playing in her own yard, but the female pit bull was not put down.☹️

Back in September, she posted that her little Boston Terrier named Stella was seriously mauled by a Pit Bull that jumped a fence into her yard.

"My dog Stella was mauled by a pit bull that broke into my friend's yard. Her intestines were exposed when I found her"

Stella survived about nine days before dying of her injuries from the Pit Bull attack. This sweet-looking elderly dog died a horrible death. Infuriating that the Pit Bull was not put down, but that's typical if the owner won't voluntarily euthanize their killer dog.

REST IN PEACE, STELLA

California: Nine days after being disemboweled by an attacking Pit Bull, sweet Boston Terrier Stella dies

CALIFORNIA -- Lesley Fullmer Kennedy posted on Facebook September 25, 2017 ·

My precious dog Stella died today.

Stella was mauled by a pit bull that broke into my friend's yard. Her intestines were exposed when I found her.

Her name was Stella Luella. 12 yrs of a healthy, strong, and feisty dog. My little best friend as I journeyed through life as a single women.

My first thought was I can't survive this, but an instant later I thought yes I can.

The pain is unbearable right now. She suffered with a terrible dog attack, then died finally from a stroke, the whole experience was ugly.

Nothing pretty about death for people or beloved animals. I think the pain in life gets you ready for your own. Yes, I have lost parents and that was even more terrible. Stella probably had 2 or 3 more years left so no sugarcoating her untimely death. I wanted more but facing some bad days ahead.

God bless all who grieve today for any reason😪🐶☹️

My dog Stella was mauled by a pit bull that broke into my friend's yard. Her intestines were exposed when I found her.

She may live if she doesn't get a future infection that will be fatal. She was in surgery for 2.5 hrs and cost about $2,500.

I love dogs, and there are some nice pit bulls out there but 50 stitches later and muscles turned to hamburger- vets words- some pit bulls are vicious killers.

Just saying☹️

Oklahoma: Parolee Travis Wallis, arrested and charged with animal cruelty after stabbing his father's Dachshund to death

OKLAHOMA -- Travis Wallis faces charges of animal cruelty after allegedly stabbing and killing his father's Dachshund.

The owner of the dog, Donald Wallis, witnessed his son's brutal attack on his pet, according to an incident report.

Travis allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and approached the cage where the Dachshund was held.

Travis then removed the Dachshund from its cage and carried his dad's seven pound dog to the backyard, according to a Chickasha Police report.

Once outside, Travis held the dog by his neck and stabbed the dog repeatedly in the abdomen with the knife, the report said. His father Donald said the dog became lifeless as it was stabbed to death by Travis.

Travis allegedly tried to get his father Donald to come to the backyard as well, but he refused.

Travis, who stands about six feet tall and what appeared to be in robust health, claimed the dog bit his fingers, the report said.

Donald said Travis bit his own fingers before police arrived, the report said.

When Chickasha Police Officer Derek Hunt asked Travis if he had stabbed the dog, Travis allegedly admitted he stabbed the dog "five or six times."

Officer Hunt said the dog was found in the backyard, with stab wounds and entrails showing.

"It was obvious that the Dachshund died a violent death," Hunt said in the report.

Travis was placed under arrest.

En route to the Grady County Jail he made bizarre requests such as asking the arresting officer for a bug, such as a cockroach. Travis allegedly said he had used methamphetamine two or three days ago, the report said.

According to court records, Wallis had his bond increased from $50,000 to $200,000. Wallis' bond was increased due to prior convictions, according to the Grady County Court Clerk Office.

Washington: Pet wallabies were killed by their owner's mastiff and pit bull mix. No wonder she was uncooperative with the investigation.

WASHINGTON -- A veterinarian’s report shows that three pet wallabies killed in their Spokane yard were mauled by their owner’s two dogs.

The Spokesman-Review reports that the owner had alerted police after she discovered the dead wallabies earlier this month and said a person was to blame.

But an investigation by the Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service determined her OWN DOGS -- a mastiff and pit bull / Dalmatian mix — named Mischief and Diesel, respectively — were responsible.

The report says the wallabies were covered in canine bite marks and two died of asphyxiation due to “crushing holds” to their necks. The third was decapitated and disemboweled.

The report indicates that the owner of the dogs and wallabies was not cooperative and initially refused to turn over her dogs for examination. She also did not report the attack until 12 hours after it occurred and after she had cleaned up the area, investigators said.

PIT BULL ATTACKED BEFORE
SCRAPS responded to the same home in March after receiving reports that the pit bull had attacked a Shih Tzu, Hill said. There were conflicting accounts of whether the Shih Tzu was in its own yard or the pit bull’s yard; the smaller dog needed veterinary care.

An examination of the two dogs showed that the pit bull had “high-fat rare meat content” and bone pieces in his stomach, SCRAPS director Nancy Hill said. The dog also appeared to have severe indigestion and scratches on his body. The mastiff had less animal material in his stomach and no visible wounds.

Spokane police earlier confirmed it was a dog that killed the wallabies.

“It was not malicious,” Spokane police spokesman Officer Shane Phillips told The Spokesman-Review earlier this month. “It was not murder. It looks like this lady’s pet dog ate her pet wallabies.”

The two dogs have been declared potentially dangerous.

Since Diesel and Mischief have been declared potentially dangerous dogs, their owner must ensure the fence around the yard is strong enough to keep her dogs in and other dogs out.

“It’s a red warning flag on the dog’s file,” Hill said.

Any violation of the potentially dangerous dog ordinance, which would include letting a dog be “at large,” is a criminal misdemeanor, she said.

United Kingdom: Woman seeking information on two women who fled after their loose pit bull attacked and mauled to death a leashed Chihuahua

UNITED KINGDOM -- PLEASE READ AND SHARE. DOG ATTACK SUNDAY 27th NOV 16

I'm appealing for information on behalf of my friend. On Sunday 27th November at 8.30am, my friend was walking her 6 chihuahua's on Hove seafront, opposite the tennis courts. They were on leads, as many are rescue and can be nervous at times.

Walking nearby were 2 women (possibly a mother and daughter) and they had a brindle colored pit bull terrier with them, which was called Roxy. She wasn't on a leash.

The pit bull attacked one of my friend's dogs, which has resulted in her death. It was a vicious attack, which left broken ribs and a hole in her side through which her stomach protruded. She also had a punctured lung.

I am appealing to any one who might know who these ladies and dog are please. This attack was completely unprovoked and my friend has been left heartbroken. We need to ensure that another incident like this doesn't happen again.

If you do have any detail that could help, please contact the police who are aware of this incident.

Canada: In her letter to the editor, woman upset that pit bull owners won't pay her dog's vet bill

CANADA -- My dog Buddy was attacked by a pit bull at Billings Spit in Sooke.

I come here for vacation from Ontario and this time I arrived Oct 10th and went with my friend, for a walk with our little dogs at Billings Spit about 8:45 am Oct 11th. We got to the beach and let our dogs off leash. Neither of us have vicious or aggressive dogs. They are very social and socialize with all the other dogs we come across.

About two minutes into our walk there was a lady with a pit bull on a leash and one off leash. Buddy went up to the leashed one and they were sniffing each other, and the lady said, “Don’t worry she’s fine.

But that one,” she pointed at the other pit bull that was not leashed or muzzled, “is reactive.”

Just then that unleashed dog lunged at my dog. The lady was trying to pull my dog out of her dog’s grip, and was trying to grab her dog as well.

I ran over and grabbed her dog by the collar and it let go of my dog. I hung onto to her dog until she had him, and then took my dog to the vet at Saseenos.

From there, we went to the animal hospital in Victoria where they put his intestines back in and sewed up the holes from the pit bull’s bite which went right through the stomach cavity.

I waited and visited my dog each day hoping he would survive the ordeal.

I was shown where the owners of the pit bulls live, and went there on the evening of Oct 11th to talk with them about the incident. They weren’t home. I went the next morning and still no one was home. Then I went later in the evening and they were home.

The lady took a few minutes to get her dogs under control because of the knock at the door. Then she invited me in and I told her I’m not comfortable going in with the dogs. She said they are fine but he is "reactive".

So she came out, and we started talking.

She said she felt we were 50/50 responsible since my dog wasn’t on a leash either. I disagreed because my dog is not aggressive and she was aware her dog was, as she so stated just before her dog attacked mine. Then her boyfriend (husband?) came out and was quite aggressive towards me and verbally abusive. I thought he was going to physically assault me. He said, “Take me the court,” and he said he wasn’t paying anything.

My partner was with me at the time, and we left.

PIT BULL DECLARED DANGEROUS
The next morning I called the CRD to report the incident and was given a file number, and was later told that they spoke to the dog owners. That dog has been designated as a dangerous dog by the CRD and must be muzzled out in public.

I did try filing a complaint with the RCMP, but they brushed me off because to them unless a person was injured there is nothing they can do.

I have no desire to have the pit bull destroyed, just that the owners take responsibility.

Well Buddy made it through his first surgery, but it was touch and go, and I got to get him back six days later and nurse him at home with a feeding tube and his medicines. Now that he is stable enough we go back to do the surgery to fix his leg on Monday. His bones need to be fused in order for him to recover.

I have since heard that a neighbor’s dog was also attacked by a pit bull here, a day or two before mine was attacked. Maybe the same dog?

I am unable to file a complaint at the Sooke town hall or make a small claims file to get some of the vet bill covered. I don’t have the owner of the pit bull’s name to do either. CRD tells me that they can’t provide me with the name due to freedoms of information act. So, I’m not sure what to do next.

This doesn't make sense. If a police report was filed, it is public record. If she knows where the owners live, she can easily find out who owns the property. If it's a rental property, she can track down the property owner and obtain the renter's information in order to file a lawsuit.

If she doesn't want to do all that, HIRE A LAWYER! They'll do the legwork and get all this figured out. That's what they're paid to do. If it were a $400 bill, I can see just "letting it go" but when you're talking massive amounts of money, it's worth it to get an attorney.

So far the bill is $8,200, and I’ve been given an estimate of $4,000-5,000 for the leg surgery on Monday.

Oklahoma: Dallas Hicks, 19, is accused of torturing, disemboweling and killing a six-week-old pit bull puppy - and taking a photo of its body

OKLAHOMA -- An Oklahoma City man is accused of a disturbing case of animal cruelty.

Oklahoma City police said they found a 6-week-old pit bull puppy that had been tortured and killed underneath his bed.

Dallas Hicks, 19, was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on Sunday.

His mother would not talk on camera, but she told News 9 he needs mental help.

It was just after 6:30 a.m. Sunday that Oklahoma City police arrived to a white house on East Park Place.

Inside they found Hicks, his mom and her boyfriend, and then they made the gruesome discovery.

When police went inside Hick’s room they found a serrated survival style knife with a 12 inch blade under the bed. They also found a dog food bag with the puppy’s tiny body wrapped in bloody plastic. The puppy had been disemboweled, according to police.

Then, on Hicks’ phone, police found pictures of the dead puppy in the bathtub.

“They just moved here,” said Ann Denson, who lives down the street.

Denson said the family moved in a couple of months ago and never caused her any concern, although their older dogs did.

She and others said they would often run loose in the neighborhood.

“I’m afraid to walk down the street now,” said Denson.

“They just run wild everywhere in the neighborhood,” said Among Thompson who also lives nearby and won’t walk by Hicks’ home because of it. “Chasing people and everything else so I have see that and I have run from them.”

But both Denson and Thompson are shocked to hear about the gruesome puppy death that occurred inside the home located so close to theirs.

“That’s kind of a scary feeling to know you have someone that lives that close to you that would do an animal live that,” said Denson.

“If he’s killing animals like that, there’s no telling what’s going on in that house,” said Thompson.

The police report states Hicks reportedly told his mother, “Mom, I messed up. I hurt the puppy,” and then said he didn’t mean to do it.

Hicks is being held on a $2,000 bond. He is yet to be formally arraigned or charged.

WHY WOULD DALLAS HICKS TAKE A PHOTO OF THE DEAD PUPPY?

Heather Sutfin's article is titled "Haunting Photographs Taken By Murderers":

It is not uncommon to hear of murderers collecting trophies from their victims.

Psychologists theorize that this phenomena is likely because killers like to prolong the thrill of their exploits.

By taking a small memento to remind them of the crime they are able to relive that fantasy again and again.

For murderers these souvenirs are indicative of a great accomplishment, much like many of us may collect newspaper clippings or small trinkets to remind us of our academic or athletic achievements.

Some killers may collect jewelry or personal items of their victims, but others like to truly capture the memory of the kill with photographs of their crimes.

John Douglas wrote an article called "Why Killers Take Trophies":

Killers like to take trophies and souvenirs from their victims. Keeping some memento — a lock of hair, jewelry, newspaper clips of the crime — helps prolong, even nourish, their fantasy of the crime. In my research, I’ve seen this happen again and again.

Between crimes — often while targeting future victims — they’ll pull out their trophies and just sit back in their La-Z Boy chairs and relive the crime over and over in their minds.

Though they may say they committed the crime, they never really accept responsibility. They’ll blame it on someone else, or their upbringing, or say they were abused as kids.

They’ll never say, “Gee, I’m so sorry for what I’ve done here.” The tears may well up in their eyes, but — and I’ve always said this — they’re crying for themselves. They could care less about the victim.

United Kingdom: Owner of dog fatally mauled in Co Down fears a child could be next

UNITED KINGDOM -- A mum-of-two fears a child could be killed after her pet was mauled to death by two large, unaccompanied dogs in Donaghadee.

Nurse Julie Palmer from Newtownards , Co Down, returned home with her family after a weekend away to the news their dog Eddie was dead.

The little terrier had been attacked on a walk with the Palmer’s trusted dog minder who has been left traumatized by the terrifying incident.

Julie, 47, said: “Our poor wee dog Eddie was so badly mauled that there was nothing the vet could do for him. His tummy had been ripped apart and his soft tissue and internal injuries were just too severe for him to survive. The kindest thing to do was put him out of pain.

“Our dog minder, who we love and trust with our pets, witnessed what happened and stepped in to try to save Eddie. She managed to very bravely pull one of the dogs off Eddie and rushed him straight to Jubilee Vets. She is so traumatized, I don’t know if she’ll even get back to work.

“The attack took place on Monday and when we got back that evening we went down to her house to get our dogs as usual, Eddie our little terrier cross who was just three, and Cooper our Labradoodle, who is five.

“But she was in tears when she met us at the door and explained what had happened. She knew we’d be devastated and didn’t want to call us and have us drive home upset.

“It was such a dangerous situation that she found herself in. She was walking her dog and ours at Cromellin Park in Donaghadee, known as the Dam Field which is very popular with dog walkers, kids and families.

“We are devastated by the loss of our little dog and I fear it will happen to another dog but I’m also worried that these dogs are so out of control that they could be attracted to little kids playing in the area, and attack them.

“These dogs were still running loose when our dog minder left the scene to try to save Eddie and so far their owner has not been identified.

“I just really want to know who the owner is so I can let them know what happened to our pet. They need to keep their dogs under control and ensure this doesn’t happen again - or worse, that a child is seriously injured or killed.

“We all know how dogs can react to screaming children who are running about. It really doesn’t bear thinking about.”

The incident was reported to the PSNI in Newtownards and the local council’s Community Neighbourhood Environment Team will be investigating.

Julie said: “To some people, Eddie was just a dog but he was a member of our family and a brilliant little fella who never looked for trouble and only enjoyed life until it was ended in the most awful and violent way.

“Our daughter Alex was due to go back to University but she was so upset we cancelled her flight to give her a little more time at home to settle down.

“I’d ask anyone who can help to identify these dangerous large, black dogs in Donaghadee on Monday to pass the information on so people and pets can be made safe.”

Michigan: Poodle attacked, disemboweled and killed by two pit bulls that have killed before

MICHIGAN -- "While walking on a leash with his mistress in Centennial Heights, Calumet last Monday, this friendly, beloved little animal was attacked by two unleashed pit bulls.

They ripped his abdomen open, and emergency veterinary surgery could not save him.

Reportedly, he is not the first neighborhood pet to be killed by these pit bulls, and there have been other animals injured by them.

The police have been investigating, and perhaps the prosecutor will take some action."

Canada: Readers asked to donate money to little dog DISEMBOWELED by pit bull, but instructed to not "breed bash", per admins of ROAM (Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing)

CANADA -- Posted by ROAM - Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing:

This family was visiting here from Ontario and an awful thing happened. Their family dog was injured by another dog. They have created a Go Fund Me Page to help them with veterinary fees that could buckle any family. We know all of us as pet owners can appreciate the level of stress this kind of event would cause in our lives... so we'd like to reach out to Buddy's family and help spread the word about his GoFundMe page. Donating to the page that his family has created will ensure that the funds go directly to Buddy's care.

It is ROAM's goal that we not engage in any breed bashing or making assumptions about what may or may not have happened. This is a family who have reached out and asked for help for their dog because they need it. This happened here in Sooke but the family lives in Ontario. If you can help them and be ambassadors for our home town follow the link to Buddy's page.

WHAT HAPPENED:

I went to Sooke, British Columbia, for vacation from Sioux Lookout, Ontario. I arrived Oct 10th and went with my friend, for a walk with our little dogs at Billings Spit the next morning.

He said, “Take me to court,” and he said he wasn’t paying anything.

Untrue. There is a difference between a dog that is not on a leash and not bothering anyone and a vicious, aggressive dog that attacks and disembowels another dog in an attempt to kill it.

My partner was with me at the time, and we left.

The next morning I called the CRD (Animal Control) to report the incident and was given a file number, and was later told that they spoke to the dog owners. That dog has been designated as a dangerous dog by the CRD and must be muzzled out in public.

I did try filing a complaint with the RCMP, but they brushed me off because to them unless a person was injured there is nothing they can do. ['bad cop' label]

I have no desire to have the pit bull destroyed, just that the owners take responsibility.

Wrong answer. This dog needs to be put down. What happens when this dog attacks and kills a child and the police come to you to you and they tell you this could have been prevented if only you had had a backbone and insisted on the dog being euthanized X months/years ago? That child's death will be on you.

Get an attorney. Now.

Well Buddy made it through his first surgery, but it was touch and go, and I got to get him back six days later and nursed him at home with a feeding tube and his medicines. I was to go back to do the surgery to fix his leg on Monday, but the vet says he needs more time to recover from the first surgery before fixing his leg. His bones need to be fused at the hock.

I am unable to file a complaint at the Sooke town hall or make a small claims file to get some of the vet bill covered. I don’t have the owner of the pit bull’s name to do either. CRD tells me that they can’t provide me with the name due to freedoms of information act. So, I’m trying other ways to get the owners name so I can try to get the court to force them to pay for at least some of the medical expenses.

So far the bill is $8200, and I’ve been given an estimate of $4-5000 for the leg surgery. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I am successful in getting the pit bull owners to take responsibility, I will return donations to those who donated.

Michigan: "Ripped out his kidney, ripped out his stomach, ripped out his intestines" says woman of her beloved Papillon which was torn apart by a loose pit bull

MICHIGAN -- A neighborhood in Southgate is on the lookout for a white pit bull after the dog attacked a woman and killed her dog. The concern is high as the attack happened right next to Fordline Elementary School.

Diane Peters was walking her dog, Scooter, Sunday afternoon as she had been doing for the last six years. When Peters turned a corner, she said a white pit bull almost immediately charged at her.

"He knocked me down, and bit my arm and my face and he just took my dog right out of my arms." she said.

A neighbor nearby ran to the rescue and kicked the dog off Peters.

"I knew once I saw this happening I had to do something about it. I mean, I thought, my kids are seeing this, so it was a moment of how am I going to stop this from happening and I ran out there and did my best." said Ron Brewer, the rescuing neighbor.

The vicious dog ran away after being kicked by Brewer, and Peters was taken to urgent care. Peters’ 6-year-old Papillon, named Scooter, was taken to the animal hospital, but it was too late for the little dog, who was suffering and in great pain.

"Ripped out the kidney, ripped out the stomach, ripped out the intestine. They couldn't save him. The damage was too great." said Peters. "I have five grandkids and they're devastated."

Brewer and the rest of the neighborhood are on high alert until the pit bull is caught. Animal Control has followed some leads, but has yet to find the vicious animal.

Brewer went to thank her neighbors who she hadn't previously met.

Spain: Shocking footage shows savage farm workers torturing pregnant pigs and cutting out their babies – as four men go on trial

SPAIN --  THIS horrific video shows farm workers laughing as they torture pregnant pigs with SWORDS.

The shocking scenes will be played in a Spanish courtroom today as four men go on trial for animal cruelty.

The workers were filmed hitting the animals over the head with iron bars before digging dirty metal swords into their sides repeatedly.

The piglets inside the sows were pulled out of their mothers’ stomachs alive after they were slaughtered.

One of the men plays up to the camera as a pig writhes squealing and dying in front of them after he stabs it repeatedly along with a colleague.

He flexes his biceps as he stands over the animal after murdering it in the most savage way possible while a colleague jokes out loud: “Rest in peace.”

The shocking images were filmed at El Escobar farm in Fuente Alamo, Murcia, south-east Spain and published by a worker shocked by what he saw.

They led to the arrests of four men due to go on trial today.

Miguel Rodriguez, a veterinary hospital anaesthetist, has described the footage as the worst he has ever seen.

He said: “It’s the most horrible case of animal mistreatment I’ve seen in my career. The suffering these animals have endured is comparable to the pain we’d suffer as humans in that situation.”

Javier Moreno, international director of animal welfare organisation Animal Equality, which is also prosecuting the defendants, added: “This is without doubt the cruellest thing we’ve ever seen.

“We want a historic and exemplary sentence.”

The organisation has launched a petition which has already been signed by more than 66,000 people calling for a change in the law to stiffen the penalties for animal mistreatment.

State prosecutors are calling for a one-year prison sentence for each of the accused men – the maximum under Spanish law – as well as a three year ban from working with animals.

They will be unlikely to spend a single day in jail if they receive the sentence – because sentences of two years or less in Spain are normally suspended for first-time offenders.

The footage first emerged in February 2012 when Animal Equality was sent the 6.40 minute video.

Marcos Verduga, the worker who leaked the video, said at the time: “From the minute I set foot on the farm I saw the animals were being mistreated every day.”

Police arrested the suspects 48 hours afterwards, leading to a criminal probe led by a judge and today’s trial in the city of Cartagena.

The farm owner expressed his shock and condemnation after the footage was made public and said he had idea his animals were being mistreated in this way.
