ILLINOIS -- A Meredosia woman underwent treatment Friday for dog bites.
Carol Murphy was taken to Passavant Area Hospital, where she was treated and released.
Emergency medical personnel were summoned about 3:30 p.m. to her residence in the 600 block of Main Street.
Murphy’s husband reported she had been attacked by a Boxer and that he was able to get the animal pinned, Chief Deputy Mike Carmody said.
It was not clear Friday who the dog’s owner is or where the attack took place.
A Morgan County Animal Control warden went to the residence to retrieve the dog, Carmody said.
