Ohio: Ray Currey, 28, threatened to shoot and kill his girlfriend's pit bull

OHIO -- On 24 Sep 16 Washington County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to Waterford Township in reference to a dispute.

Leah Himler reported being involved in an argument with her boyfriend, Ray Holmes Currey, age 28, 14735 Waterford Road, Waterford.

While still arguing, Currey obtained a firearm and threatened to shoot Himler’s Pit bull. Himler and a witness denied any threats made to them, stating that the threats were only made towards the dog.

Currey had left the home prior to our arrival, and all attempts to locate him met with negative results.

While Deputies were searching around the residence Mariah Nicole Starkey, age 19, 34 Maple Circle, Waterford, was located asleep in a vehicle that was parked in the driveway.

Upon Deputies attempting to speak with Starkey an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. Starkey had slurred speech and could not provide her name, date of birth or what day it was. Deputies learned that she was brought to the residence by Himler.

Starkey later stated she had too much beer to drink, stating she knew it was against the law for her to drink since she is only 19 years old.

Starkey was released to a sober friend and was advised she would be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court for underage consumption.

Also a summons for disorderly conduct is being requested for Currey.
