Missouri: Kyle Williams, 18, and Jordan Hall, 19, are jailed for four years after posting a video of themselves laughing while killing a kitten by dragging it behind their car

** WARNING: There is a graphic photo of the cat at the end of this post **

MISSOURI -- Two Missouri men who sparked outrage by tying a kitten to a car's bumper and dragging it to its death were sentenced Friday to prison.

Kyle Williams, 18, also from Branson, was sentenced to four years for animal abuse and three years for armed criminal action, to be served consecutively after posting footage of his cat's death to Facebook.

Jordan Hall, 19, of Branson was also sentenced to four years behind bars for animal abuse.

According to the Taney County, Missouri prosecutor's office, Williams will also serve five years for 'possession of a weapon in a county jail, relating to the sharpening of a spork into a 'shank'.'

The two had plead guilty to animal abuse charges, after the horrifying incident.
It started last June when, according to court documents, a video was posted to a private Facebook group.

'Keep going. Don't stop. He's almost dead.'
The video shows a gold Jeep accelerating while people laugh and watch the kitten's plight, with one person filming the incident from the trunk.

The kitten's tiny legs couldn't keep up with the SUV, and after being dragged for several laps, the little animal lay dead on the asphalt.

"Dude, kill his ass," one person says in the video after the cat appears to lose strength and start bleeding.

At one point, the vehicle stops, and the people behind the camera discuss the "semi-alive" kitten's vitality and whether to "slam (the cat) into the ground, kill him."

"Should we put him out of his misery?" one person asks.

In response, the vehicle speeds up and the laughs start again.

Later in the video, the SUV stops and starts once more. A person in the trunk can be seen jerking on the rope so the kitten goes airborne and bounces off the pavement.

The kitten was in bad shape at the end of the video. Before the camera cuts off, one person continues jerking the rope to move the dying cat's head up and down like a macabre marionette.

"Shake your head for me if you're dead," the person says.

The video showing the torture death of the cat is nearly five minutes long.

According to the Kansas City Star, members of the group Cellulites: Salvation 'were furious after he allegedly posted a photo of himself next to the tortured, bloodied kitten, one eye popped out of its head, the newspaper reported.

The caption allegedly read, 'Try to guess how I killed my cat, bet you can't.'

Members of the private group then figured out who Williams was through his social media activity, and contacted police.

'He posted it in the wrong group,' one group member wrote. 'Animal cruelty is not okay.'

After the sentencing, Taney County prosecutor, Jeff Merell thanked the people who reported the crime, posting on Facebook.

He said: 'We are satisfied with the sentences handed down today by the Judge for this senseless act of depravity against a helpless kitten. We appreciate the help of good Samaritans in our digital community in reporting this crime as it might have gone unpunished without their assistance.'

Ohio: Police say Stephen Collins II, 19, tortured a puppy by burning it with cigarettes, beat it with a flashlight and threw it down a flight of stairs breaking several bones

OHIO -- A man faces charges of felony animal cruelty after he threw a 3-month-old puppy down a flight of stairs, according to Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones.

Stephen Adam Collins II, 19, caused the puppy to break several bones, including her leg and pelvis, investigators said.

She is expected to live, but it’s too early to tell whether her leg will have to be amputated, Butler County Dog Warden Supervisor Kurt Murbs said.

Joseph's Legacy said Collins, threw her down the stairs, beat her with a flashlight and burned her with cigarettes.

Three-month-old Vally had to have emergency surgery to repair what investigators called "near-fatal injuries."

Middletown police arrested Collins Thursday evening.

“Harming a defenseless animal is heinous, ridiculous and disturbing,” Jones said in a statement.

The puppy had been so severely abused that Collins’ mother kicked her son out of the house and called rescuers at Joseph's Legacy to help save the puppy.

The puppy had to have emergency surgery at Monroe Family Pet Hospital. She now has several pins and staples in her leg and pelvis, and she is in a foster home until she makes a full recovery.

Ohio: Puppy thrown down stairs, burned with cigarettes begins to recover

OHIO -- When Judith Reinhart met Vally, a five-month-old mutt with a black button nose and permanently perky ears, the puppy had a broken pelvis, a broken leg and a coat polka-dotted with cigarette burns.

She had been abused so severely by her 19-year-old owner that the man's mother called rescuers at Joseph's Legacy to take her out of the home.

"When I got there, I found out that she had been thrown down a flight of stairs by her own," Reinhart said. "She was beat on the head with a flashlight."

All for having an accident in the house.

Reinhart rushed Vally to Monroe Family Pet Hospital, where she received surgery to repair her broken bones.

The little dog still had a long physical recovery ahead Wednesday night, Reinhart said, but was already beginning to come out of her shell. In a safe environment, Vally is as sweet, curious and energetic as any other puppy.

Vally got pins in her legs and now lives with a foster mother.

“Here she is, in so much pain. And she's still just so beautiful. And she's just so happy to see, to love a human,” Judy Reinhart, adoption coordinator, said.

Louisiana: Cops rescue dogs who were filmed being swung by their necks in horrifying video and hunt for their cruel tormentor

LOUISIANA -- Two adorable dogs have been rescued from a vicious thug who was filmed swinging them around by a leash before sending them flying more than 20 feet on to concrete.

The video, filmed in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, shows the young black male walking the two dogs down a street.

He then begins to swing them in circles using the leash attached to their necks. He lets them go, tossing tossing the poor creatures like rag dolls.

A second man, who appears to be filming the incident, can be heard saying: 'Oh yeah, b****h, oh yeah' as his friend brutally launches the dogs across the concrete surface.

Their howls of pain can be heard echoing into the distance as they hit the ground.

It remains unclear how the young man came to be in possession of the dogs but the dogs belonged to neither of the men.

After analyzing the video, investigators realized the incident happened in the Gardere area of East Baton Rouge, Liveleak reported.

In a Facebook post yesterday East Baton Rouge Sheriffs Office revealed they had found the animals after canvassing the area.

The two dogs were found near the apartment shown in the video.

It confirmed the poor dogs are healthy and now back with their owners, saying: 'Many of you may have seen the horrible video that is circulating of two dogs being thrown by a young man.

'We are happy to say that deputies canvassed the area in which we believe the video was filmed and found the dogs. They are with their owners and happy and healthy!'

It added its deputies are now working with Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office to identify the person involved in the incident and bring him to justice.

EBRSO is still working with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office to identify and charge those involved in the video. Anyone with information is asked to call 389-5000.

Note: I had uploaded the video but YouTube removed it before it was even posted and issued a strike against my account. You can go to liveleak.com to see it. Alabama: Daniel Bennett, 18, accused of raping horse multiple times

ALABAMA -- An Alabama man has been accused of repeatedly sexually molesting a horse in a barn stall.

Daniel Bennett, 18, allegedly told Mobile County Sheriff’s Office investigators he attempted to molest a horse.

The owner of the 20-year-old horse, named Polly, said she found Bennett in the barn after her dogs’ barking led her to the scene.

Owner Francine Janes and her husband, who was armed with a gun, found Bennett hiding in a barn stall, according to local reports.

Upon being found, Janes said he told her that “He likes horses. He wanted to pet the horse.”

Bennett was reportedly held at gunpoint by Janes' husband until police arrived.

Police reportedly discovered that Bennett had a trench coat with a burglar’s tool in it.

Janes doesn't believe this is the first time Bennett has abused her horse.

She told investigators she found what she believes to be evidence in Polly’s stall around 10 times throughout the month of December.

"I would say seven maybe 10 times," Janes told WPMI. "Toilet paper had been left [behind]. The hay stacks had been removed. Items had been turned over. And that's as far as I want to go [in describing what I found]."

Bennett’s arrest warrant lists his crime of bestiality as a misdemeanor, claiming he "engaged in or submitted to any sexual contact with an animal, to-wit: a horse."

Bennett is scheduled to appear in court January 18.  It was unclear if he had a lawyer.

Australia: Claire West, 17, pleads guilty to animal cruelty charge after she recorded herself kicking puppy 26 times while it yelped in pain

AUSTRALIA -- A 17-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty after a dog was filmed being repeatedly kicked in Gracemere in central Queensland.

The video caused an outcry on social media when it surfaced on Friday, prompting a joint police-RSPCA investigation.

Claire Elizabeth West pleaded guilty to animal cruelty in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court this morning.

The court heard the teenager had received a number of upsetting Snapchats from her former boyfriend and his new partner.

Her lawyer told the court she had become angry and upset by the videos and took it out on the dog Buster that they had bought together.

West filmed herself kicking the puppy 26 times saying "dog's dead ... how do you like that [name of boyfriend]" and then sent it to him via Snapchat.

Her lawyer CLAIMED to the court "she had not meant to hurt the dog" and it had no visible injuries.

"She is extremely remorseful — she is completely humiliated and angry at herself for her actions," the lawyer told the court.

Lies, lies, lies.

The court heard the 17-year-old, who lives with her mother, received a disability support pension and had been diagnosed with ADD, ODD, behavioral disorders, Asperger's and hearing impairments.

So what? There are millions of people with the same disabilities and they don't abuse animals, children, elderly people...

West was placed on a two-year probation order and no conviction was recorded.

The court was told the puppy was currently in the Rockhampton pound, but was due to be released to the teenager's mother today.

Magistrate Jeff Clarke warned if they took the dog back to the house where the teen lived, she would be contravening the prohibition order.

Why would they give the dog back to the abuser???

West put her head in her hands when she was told she would not be able to keep the dog.

Mr Clarke described it as "quite a despicable act" and also imposed an order that prohibited West from owning a dog for two years.

"Unfortunately I cannot make an order that you not access or maintain social media accounts — I would make that order if that order could be made," Mr Clarke said.

As part of the probation order, West must also undergo counselling and anger management courses.

RSPCA spokesman Michael Beatty said the incident was disturbing.

"[For] somebody [to record] themselves actually abusing an animal — in this case kicking the animal repeatedly and the animal yelping — I mean, that's just no way to carry on," he said.

"It's just very disturbing."

Mr Beatty said the RSPCA was getting a growing number of complaints about animal abuse posted on social media.

"It just sadly appears to be escalating, but I suppose you'd have to say that the only good thing about it is that if someone has posted on social media, normally they can be charged," he said.

(November 2017) Canada: Family horrified after pet cat allegedly drugged, abused on Snapchat; Josh Lemire charged with Animal Cruelty

CANADA -- Mounties are investigating a possible case of animal cruelty in the Cowichan Valley after a family's cat was allegedly forced to take illicit drugs and abused in videos shared on Snapchat.

Sharline Haglund says her daughter was sent disturbing Snapchat videos of the family's one-year-old cat Gigi by a former friend in the middle of the night Tuesday.

"[Gigi] got outside and because the people know my daughter, and probably the cat knows them, she would've went there with them or somehow ended up at their house," an emotional Haglund told CTV News Tuesday.

"It sounds like they gave her MDMA and then tried to shave her. From the post you can see that he has a razor that he's looking like he's going to shave her hair, and said he wanted to give her a mohawk or something."

A Facebook post created by a friend of Haglund's daughter's Tuesday accuses several people of taking part in the alleged acts of cruelty.

It also includes a screenshot of one of the alleged Snapchat messages, appearing to show a cat being shaved with a razor.

"Your cat loves molly," part of the caption reads, referring to the party drug also known as MDMA or ecstasy.

The Facebook post, which had been shared more than 700 times as of 5 p.m. Tuesday, also alleges the cat was thrown out of a window after it was fed drugs and shaved.

Haglund said her daughter notified her of the videos early Tuesday morning and they immediately contacted RCMP, which has launched an investigation.

Since going to investigators, Haglund said she's also heard the cat was given a "bleach bath" in the incident but is unsure what's true and what's not.

Gigi was missing for the majority of the day Tuesday, but was finally located around 7:30 p.m.

Haglund said everything the people in the video said they would do was done to the cat: she was shaved, the number 666 was written in her ear, and there appear to be bleach marks on her back.

She took the cat to the veterinarian Wednesday morning and said the family hoped to know more later in the day.

The BC SPCA says it is aware of the allegations and is assisting the RCMP investigation however it can. An RCMP update was expected Wednesday.

Animal protection officer Tina Heary says the organization is extremely concerned about the missing cat and the effect any illicit drugs could have on it.
"If it's been forcibly given some type of drugs and it's experiencing the effects of that, and it’s a cold rainy day – my understanding is it was also abandoned in an area away from its home – it's put into a very unfortunate and dangerous environment," said Heary.

Haglund said she has no idea why the former friends of her daughter would take part in the alleged acts, but that she considers it a form of cyberbullying.

No charges have been announced in the investigation. Mounties are appealing to anyone else who has information on what happened to contact them at 250-748-5522 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Update: Josh Lemire, 20, has been charged with Animal Cruelty. Others deemed to be minors under the age of 18 are also involved.

Future serial killers? Jeffrey Dahmer, the Night Stalker, the Boston Strangler and others have confessed to torturing and killing animals for fun before even that became mundane and they moved up to human beings.

North Carolina: Antonio Campbell, 18, accused of torturing puppy before finally chopping its head off in domestic violence incident

NORTH CAROLINA  -- An 18-year-old Fayetteville man used a hatchet to decapitate a puppy during a domestic incident Nov. 17, Cumberland County Sheriff Ennis Wright said.

A 17-year-old woman went to the hospital and complained of pains in her neck after she said she was choked by her boyfriend, 18-year-old Antonio Hollywood Campbell, the sheriff wrote.

The woman told officials she was at her boyfriend’s house on Gillespie Street in Fayetteville when she became upset with Campbell. She went to the bathroom and called her mother for a ride.

Campbell then began accusing his girlfriend of “talking to other men" and took her phone from her.

Wright said Campbell pushed the woman face-down on a bed and sat her back. He then began to squeeze her neck.

The woman wrestled herself away from Campbell, but he again grabbed her by the throat, the sheriff said.

Campbell squeezed her neck so hard she could not breathe and lost her vision, Wright said.

The sheriff also said the victim detailed an incident that occurred three weeks prior, in which Campbell said, “Well, if you ain’t gonna be with me, then I am going to kill the dog.”

Campbell is accused of using a leash to swing the dog around in the air and also attaching the leash to a vehicle and dragging the animal, Wright said.

Campell then placed the puppy between two cinder blocks and used a hatchet to decapitate the dog, according to authorities.

The girlfriend said she didn’t initially report him for the dog’s death because she feared for her own life. She contacted authorities after she went to the hospital for neck pain

Law enforcement executed a search warrant at Campbell’s home on Monday, and detectives located the cinder block, hatchet, and remains of the puppy.

They also found a sawed-off shotgun, the sheriff wrote.

Campbell was charged with domestic violence felony strangulation for the assault on the woman, animal cruelty and possession of a weapon of mass destruction.

A judge set Campbell’s bond at $137,500 secured.

Wanda Geddie says she was trying to convince her granddaughter to leave a violent relationship when she learned just how great the threat could be.

Geddie said her granddaughter, Jordon Stevens, 17, was living with Antonio Campbell, 18, on Gillespie Street in Fayetteville. The couple was together about three months, Geddie said.

Geddie said she was shocked by the violence and knows her granddaughter was lucky.

“We were in the hospital. I literally cried because I’m thinking: It could have been you,” she told WRAL.
