On 1 May 17 Sgt. McGilton issued a citation to Christi Sue Gearhart, age 21, 110 Dean Street, Marietta regarding her failing to restrain her dog, a German Shepherd.
On 28 Apr 17 Gearhart’s German Shepherd ran loose from her property. Gearhart was outside with the dog and was the one responsible for the dog’s restraint.
Gearhart’s dog entered onto Dean Street and bit a subject that was jogging on the road near Gearhart’s residence. Sgt. McGilton met with Gearhart who stated the dog was on a leash, but broke free as the jogger passed by, and she was unable to control the dog.
Sgt. McGilton advised Gearhart that a citation would be issued.
