Carlisle man charged after pit bull attacks dog

PENNSYLVANIA -- A Carlisle man faces charges after police said his unvaccinated pit bull attacked another dog Sunday night.

Carlisle police said a woman was walking her purebred Yellow Lab in the 100 block of East Penn Street around 9 p.m. when the pit bull ran from a home and attacked her dog.

The Yellow Lab was taken to an emergency veterinarian clinic for treatment and later released, according to police.

Randy L. Arnold, 21, was identified as the pit bull's owner, police said. After speaking with Arnold, police say they determined the dog was not properly licensed and had not been vaccinated against rabies.

Arnold was cited with allowing a dog to run at large, failing to license a dog and failing to vaccinated a dog, police said.
