United Kingdom: Convicted sex offender Igor Rusakov, 26, sent woman video showing himself sexually abusing an animal

UNITED KINGDOM -- A convicted sex offender applying to be a topless butler via a dating app sent his prospective employer an explicit video of himself involving an animal.

Igor Rusakov began talking to a woman after matching with her on Tinder, where she revealed she was setting up a topless butler business.

Telford Magistrates Court heard that when he expressed an interest the woman asked him to send her photos.

Rusakov, 26, instead sent her two sexually explicit videos of himself - one of which involved an animal - along with an indecent photograph.

Adam Warner, prosecuting, told the court the woman was 'disgusted' by the videos and found it 'distressing' that an animal had been involved.

The woman, from Shropshire, reported the videos to police who then seized electronic devices from Rusakov's home.

Officers found four indecent videos showing naturist activity with children, a sexually explicit image of a person performing an indecent act with an animal and a recording of a woman having a shower.

Mr Warner told the court Rusakov was seen setting up the recording equipment before a woman was seen to take a shower.

Mr Warner said: 'In a police interview he admitted to all of this but he doesn't show much in the way of remorse or accepting it as unusual behaviour.'

He also told magistrates that the woman said she had never been exposed to such content before and in her opinion Rusakov should be banned from keeping animals.

Rusakov, from Coventry, pleaded guilty to voyeurism, possessing an extreme pornographic image, making indecent videos of children and sending two indecent videos and an indecent image. The offences date back to between 2007 and 2015.

Mr Paul Nicholas, representing Rusakov, said he had not contacted the woman he sent the indecent videos and photograph to for two years, arguing a restraining order was not needed.

He said Rusakov was already registered as a sex offender. Rusakov was given a three-year community order. He will have to complete a sex offender treatment programme and 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days.

Rusakov was also ordered to do 180 hours unpaid work and pay £185 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

California: San Jose cat killer and alleged animal rapist Robert Farmer, 26, gets new pre-sentencing date

CALIFORNIA -- For the second time in recent weeks, a pre-sentence hearing for the San Jose man who pleaded guilty to abusing and killing 21 cats has been rescheduled because a psychologist for his defense was unavailable to testify.

Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Alexandra Ellis announced April 6 that the next day’s scheduled hearing “was postponed because the defense expert is not available.”

A new hearing has been set for May 12 at 10 a.m.

Robert Farmer is the son of a retired
San Jose Police Captain

Ellis assured a group of residents who have closely followed the case against Robert Roy Farmer, 26, for more than a year that the latest development was not a ploy by the defense team to delay proceedings. She said prosecutors twice have been ready to put an animal control officer on the stand, though they haven’t indicated what the officer is expected to testify.

Farmer’s attorney, Wesley Schroeder, also kept mum despite enlisting the services of a San Francisco forensic psychologist for the hearing.

Superior Court Judge Sharon A. Chatman told attorneys last month she wants to hear from the psychologist who had previously examined Farmer before she decides whether he should register as a sex offender after he’s ultimately released from prison for having also sexually abused one of the cats.

Farmer has been in custody at the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas since October 2015, when San Jose police found him asleep inside his car with a dead cat next to him. Farmer pleaded guilty last year to 21 felony counts of animal cruelty and one count each of misdemeanor battery and being under the influence.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys have focused on a San Jose Animal Care and Service necropsy report that could influence whether the judge orders Farmer to register as a sex offender.

The report states the female orange tabby cat had vulva and rectal openings of more than one centimeter each and that a DNA match between Farmer and the cat was found under its claws.

But Schroeder has questioned those findings. In an email, he told the Resident a “(tuolidine blue) test designed to highlight abrasions or subtle trauma from sexual assault failed to show any evidence of even the most minuscule trauma.”

More DNA testing linked Farmer to a total of 21 feline victims.

Although it is unclear whether anyone in California has had to register for sexually abusing an animal, Ellis has said the judge has the authority to make that decision. In a previous interview, Ellis said that “under California law, any crime–any crime–that is motivated by a sexual desire, intent, gratification, there’s discretionary registration.”

Farmer could face up to 16 years in prison.

North Carolina: Charged with animal cruelty, Stephen Spear, 69, has now been charged with child pornography

NORTH CAROLINA -- The owner of a Hoke County animal shelter accused of animal cruelty last year now faces child pornography charges.

Officials say they rearrested 69-year-old Stephen Joseph Spear after finding images of children involved in sexual activity on his computer while investigating the cruelty allegations.

In January, 2016, authorities raided The Haven-Friends for Life no-kill shelter and removed about 600 animals following complaints about neglect.

Investigators said they found at least 15 dead dogs in scattered burial sites throughout the shelter property.

"We've seen open wounds on animals, we've seen no water for the animals, we are seeing animals that seem to be malnourished," said Cpt. John Kivett of the Hoke County Sheriff's Office in 2016.

Spear and his wife Linden Spear were charged with three counts of felony possession of controlled substance and four counts of cruelty to animals.

He is now charged with 114 counts of second and third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Bond was set at $228,000.

CAUGHT WITH CHILD PORN 8 YEARS AGO

This isn't the first time Spear has faced child porn charges.

In 2009, he was charged with 18 counts of child pornography while he was a teacher at Fayetteville Tech. He agreed to a plea deal and was not required to register as a sex offender in that case.

West Virginia: Frank Miller arrested on animal cruelty charges, failing to register as a sex offender

WEST VIRGINIA -- A Kanawha County man was arrested on animal cruelty charges and failure to register as a sex offender, court records show.

Frank Miller, 43, of Hernshaw, is charged with cruelty to animals, a misdemeanor, after authorities were notified about fourteen dogs and two cats “living in squalor” without proper food, water and medical treatment.

Wounds and scarring were noticeable on many of the dogs, according to the criminal complaint.

Authorities say Miller was given a matter of days to correct the situation, but failed to do so and was charged Thursday, March 9.

West Virginia State Police say Miller is also a sex offender and was housing the dogs on a rental property. State Police say Miller failed to provide the address on Lens Creek Road in Hernshaw with the West Virginia State Police Sex Offender Registry.

Miller is facing 16 counts of animal cruelty and four counts of failure to register as a sex offender.

He is being held at the South Central Regional Jail. His bond was set at $25,000.

California: Deviant cat torturer, cat killer and son of a retired San Jose police captain, Robert Farmer, may have to register as a sex offender

CALIFORNIA -- A San Jose man who tortured and killed 21 cats may have to register as a sex offender.

Robert Roy Farmer, 25, was ordered to return to court on March 2, when a sentencing date is expected to be set, reports the San Jose Mercury News.

In October 2015, San Jose police found Farmer asleep in his car, with a dead cat beside him, and was arrested.

He pleaded guilty to 21 felony counts of animal cruelty, one count of misdemeanor battery, and one count of being under the influence.

A necropsy on the orange female tabby cat found in his car determined that the animal died of blunt force trauma and may have been sexually abused.

Farmer’s DNA matched samples found on the cat’s claws, evidence could may require the man to register as a sex offender.

Deputy District Attorney Alexandra Ellis told a crowd gathered outside the courthouse that the sentencing was taking such a long time because “there are so many sentencing laws at play,” the Mercury News reports.

“The people have asked the court to consider 290 registration, which is sex offender registration,” Ellis said.

Farmer is in custody at the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas. He faces up to 16 years and four months in prison.

Florida: Burglary suspect and registered sex offender Joey Kennedy was shot after he threw ignited paint primer at an officer and his K9 partner

FLORIDA -- Police shot a burglary suspect who threw a "flaming accelerant" on an officer and police dog inside a home Thursday morning, a police spokesman said.

The shooting happened shortly before 11 a.m. when Tampa officers responded to a burglary call at 1022 E 25th Ave., said spokesman Steve Hegarty.

The officers noted that a window on the side of the house was broken. They also recognized a car parked outside the home belonged to a man with a lengthy criminal record who was wanted on outstanding warrants.

Three officers entered the home with K9 Indo and encountered Joey Antonio Kennedy, 40. Indo "engaged" Kennedy, who threw a flaming accelerant onto the dog and his handler, Officer Tim Bergman, Hegarty said.

"He's got it in a container of some sort and starts tossing it at the dog and the officer," Hegarty said.

Bergman opened fire, hitting Kennedy at least once.

K9 Indo received burns on the head. The officer was able to extinguish the flames and was uninjured. K9 Indo will recover from the burns and will be okay, according to a TPD spokesperson.

“Clearly there’s a bond ya know, that you and I probably have no idea how deep that is between the K9 officer and the dog. And there has to be, because they’re both walking into very dangerous situations. We saw that today” said Steve Hegarty.

The wanted felon is accused of tossing ignited “Kilz” brand paint primer, on the officer and police dog.

Outside the home, News Channel 8 spotted Officer Bergman with spots of “Kilz” all over his shirt, arm and pants.

Animal advocate, Megan Trethewey doesn’t hold back when she hears about officers, human or canine, hurt by bad guys. “You have this individual, this scum of the earth that needs to be off the street” said Trethewey.

“There are two officers that were hurt today in the line of duty because this guy just did not want to get caught. He had no respect for life. For either life, either police officers out there” she said.

Bergman, a 12-year veteran of the agency, was placed on administrative leave while the shooting is investigated, which is standard in such cases.

Kennedy was taken to a local hospital with injuries that police said did not appear to be life-threatening.

Kennedy has been arrested more than a dozen times in Florida since 1992 and has served prison time for sexually battering a child, failing to register as a sex offender, resisting an officer with violence and battery on a law enforcement officer.

New York: Registered sex offender, Robbie VanBoxlaere, 51, convicted of animal cruelty - gets one year in county jail (not prison)

NEW YORK -- A Geneva man arrested in May after dropping off an emaciated cat at Lollypop Farm was sentenced last month to serve one year behind bars.

Robbie M. VanBoxlaere, 51, of 133 Exchange St., Apartment 4, who pleaded guilty to aggravated cruelty to an animal, a felony, and failure to provide proper sustenance, a misdemeanor, was additionally barred from owning an animal for five years after his release from Ontario County Jail.

It is a LOT easier to do your time in the local county jail than prison. They should've sent him to prison - based on his criminal history.

VanBoxlaere was further ordered by Ontario County Judge William Kocher to pay $393.50 in restitution.

The Ontario County Humane Society opened up an investigation after receiving word from personnel at Lollypop Farm in Fairport of the cat and its condition.

The black cat named Sam also was suffering from a large tumor in her head, the Humane Society stated in a release.

The investigation showed that the cat was owned by VanBoxlaere. The 51-year-old failed to take the cat to the veterinarian for treatment despite knowing of the cat’s condition, the Humane Society said.

The cat, which was not able to eat and had difficulty breathing, was euthanized, according to the Humane Society.

The New York State Division of Parole, Ontario County sheriff’s deputies, the Geneva Police Department and Lollypop Farm assisted in the investigation.

WHAT DID ROBBIE VANBOXLAERE DO TO BECOME A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER?

On another post, someone complained that I listed that the animal cruelty suspect was a registered sex offender, saying that wasn't relevant and that "some" sex offenders only got on the list because they "urinated in public". I doubt that. So I went through the extra effort to find out just what Robbie VanBoxlaere did to get himself on the list. Here it is:

"Another arrest expected in child prostitution case"

(Finger Lakes Times - March 6, 2007)
Sheriff's investigators say that at least one other man will be charged in connection with three teenage girls being sold for sex at a Wayne County migrant camp.

Seneca County Sheriff's Investigator John Cleere said more than 50 people have been interviewed since December 2005, when they began investigating an incident that reportedly happened the previous summer. It came to light after one of the victims moved from Wayne County to Seneca, and Child Protective Services began looking into a complaint of sexual abuse.

The girls, under 17 at the time, are in protective custody; two of them had been sold by relatives. Cleere said they'd been given drugs and alcohol.

Many sex crimes cases involve children who have been brought up to not talk to police, Cleere noted, so building rapport and trust takes a long time. It's also sometimes hard for children to explain precisely where criminal acts took place because they don't know where they were or the names of towns; or they're unable to lead investigators to sites, so it's difficult to prove where something happened.

A break in the case came last month when investigators found a witness who could supply more details.

Wayne County Investigator Roger LaClair began working the case with Cleere and Investigator Kipp Goodman last summer and was able to establish locations. On Saturday, LaClair and Cleere arrested Robbie VanBoxlaere, 42, of 11 E. Main St., Clifton Springs.

He is charged with three counts of second-degree promoting prostitution, one count of third-degree promoting prostitution, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and four counts of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child.

He is accused of supplying two teenage girls, ages 15 and 16, with alcoholic beverages and marijuana and then selling them for sex with other men in the summer of 2005 in Marion.

VanBoxlaere was arraigned before Marion Town Justice Samuel Bonafede and sent to the Wayne County jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.

Goodman said three families are involved.

"This is one of the most complicated (cases) I've ever worked on,” Cleere said. "It runs the gamut of all types of child abuse.”

A third victim has been reluctant to talk, said investigators, who also noted that one of the victims is not a relative.

There are additional matters pending in Family Court alleging abuse and neglect. And in December of 2005, there were three other related arrests at Lot 85, 393 Wagner St.:

Charles McEneany, 22, who was charged with three counts each of third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sexual act, plus single counts of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree criminal contempt.

He pleaded guilty April 10 to third-degree rape and the contempt charge for engaging in sexual activity in November and December 2005 with a 16-year-old girl, violating an order of protection, which resulted in the contempt charge.

He was sentenced to 1-1/2 to three years in state prison and is housed at Mid-State Correctional Facility in Oneida County, eligible for parole in November.

Edwin A. Teeter, 40, first-degree sexual abuse, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, for allegedly restraining the girl and subjecting her and a 13-year-old friend to sexual contact at his residence.

He pleaded guilty April 11 to endangering the welfare of a child and was sentenced to 45 days in county jail, time served, fined $1,000 and placed on three years probation.

Louise VanBoxlaere, 41, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, which she pleaded guilty to April 11 for allowing the sexual contact between the 16-year-old and McEneany; she was sentenced to three years probation.

"It's a horrible thing when relatives utilize defenseless victims in such a way,” said Sheriff Leo Connolly. "Domestic and child abuse has always been a priority of the Seneca County Sheriff's Department and this is probably one of the most egregious cases I have seen.

"Every effort has been made by both Seneca and Wayne County officials to make sure that these young girls are safe and sound.”

North Carolina: Sisto Michael Fea, 24, accused of raping small Collie

NORTH CAROLINA -- A disturbed Delaware man was arrested last Saturday (October 15) after a witness claimed to have seen him viciously rape a small dog.

Star News Online reports that Wilmington resident Sisto Michael Fea, 24, was hit with several charges of animal cruelty and felony crimes to nature for the alleged sexual and physical assault of his collie, Lola.

According to the Wilmington Police Department, the assailant was first seen walking out of his Bagley Ave. home by the unnamed observer on October 14 while carrying the canine in his arms.

Once he reached the porch, Fea then supposedly began having intercourse with RAPING Lola, which she immediately protested.

In response, Fea reputedly dropped the dog, kicked it off the porch, and walked back inside of his home.

Moments later, he reemerged from the residence and allegedly continued sexually assaulting Lola. Following a flashing of headlights from the witness, who was seated inside of a car, Fea once again entered his home and did not come back outside. Lola, meanwhile, ran away from the residence and, by connection, from Fea’s further abuse.

When law enforcement arrived on the scene after the witness dialed 911, no one answered the door at Fea’s home. They returned the very next day, this time with a search warrant, where both Fea and Lola were taken without incident.

During a search of his home, police seized a jar of petroleum jelly that was taken into evidence. A veterinarian in the area examined Lola at some point after Fea’s arrest, and with assistance from a rape kit that utilizes a special UV light to trace bodily fluids, uncovered a mixture of both the lubricant and human sperm.

In court last Monday (October 17), Fea relayed through his attorney, Merritt Wagoner, that the charges were unfounded and that he was not guilty. Judge Sandra Ray, the officiant overlooking the case, denied Wagoner’s request for his client to be released without bond, and instead, lowered Fea’s $50,000 bail to $25,000. As of today, Fea has not yet come up with the funding for his release, but should he do so, he will be monitored via an electronic ankle bracelet.

Furthermore, he has been ordered by Ray to refrain from any contact with Lola, who cannot be released to anyone he has interpersonal relationships with, including his family or his roommates.

She is currently being housed in the New Hanover County Animal Services shelter and will eventually be sent off to live with a foster family. The sentencing date for Fea has not yet been publicly announced.

In an eerie connection, this is not the first matter in recent history in where a dog was sexually assaulted.

GEORGE PAZOS, SEXUAL DEVIANT

Earlier this year, as reported by both the Inquisitr and the Cincinnati Enquirer, Clifton Heights resident George Pazos pleaded guilty to two charges of aggravated assault after he allegedly forced a call girl to sexually pleasure not just himself, but his dog as well.

In court documents for the case, the 49-year-old Pazos was said to have invited the victim to his home to “engage in sexual intercourse for pay” on January 1 of this year.

During their tryst, he suddenly turned violent and repeatedly threatened the woman, before tying her up and raping her. He then physically forced her to perform oral sex on his pet after he was through with his forceful act.

Through a plea bargain, the alleged defendant was able to avoid a 22-year-sentence by pleading guilty to the lesser charges of aggravated assault. He was ultimately sentenced to two years in prison for his crime. There was no word given regarding the status of his dog.
