SOUTH AFRICA -- A man was mauled to death by Bull Terriers on a plot in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng, on Thursday evening, paramedics said.
The 51-year-old, who worked on the property, had apparently tried to break up a fight between two males when several other dogs turned on him, ER24 spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said. He died on the scene.
The owner of the dogs was not at home at the time. His wife tried to help the man and was also attacked. She was hospitalised. The extent of her injuries was not known.
About eight of the dogs were kept on the property, in the Nanascol area.
