Anna Westwater was walking her long haired Chihuahua Mojo, on Friday at around 8 p.m. when another dog she described as a biscuit coloured American pit bull grabbed Mojo in its jaws and shook him around.

Three-year old Mojo, which only weighed six pounds, was severely injured and unfortunately was unable to survive the attack.
Police are now trying to trace the owner of the pit bull who is described as a slim female in her mid to late 20s with brown hair which she was wearing in a ponytail.
Mrs Westwater, who was also walking her daughter’s Chihuahua Cheeko at the time, saw the dog approach her and she says she had a bad feeling about what was to happen.
Then she watched as the pit bull launched itself on to Mojo and latched on to his neck.
She told the Arbroath Herald: “I just had a bad feeling so I tried to give the dog a wide berth but it just picked Mojo up in his teeth and it all happened so quick.
“The dog started shaking him around like a rag doll.
“I started screaming and screaming for help.”
Mrs Westwater managed to free Mojo from the pit bull’s jaws and put her coat over her pet to try and keep him warm.
But by that time she claims the woman and her dog had started to walk away and were eventually out of sight.
And after getting Mojo to the nearest vet’s surgery, he sadly succumbed to his injuries.
She added: “Mojo was still with us 10 minutes afterwards but he was too badly hurt.
“He was such a sociable dog and had been in shows and classes so he was used to bigger dogs and played with them.
“The dog which did this is still out there and it could do this to a small child or another dog.
“Somebody must know this dog and who the owner is?”
The animal group Easy Walkers has put up a £400 reward for information and police are eager to speak to anybody who may have seen the attack.
Mrs Westwater said: “You get to know other people and their dogs when you go out walking with them.
“And since then people have been telling me that they are really scared for their dogs and are very worried.”
