Pennsylvania: Loose Pit Bull Enters Home, Kills Cat, Attacks Homeowner

PENNSYLVANIA -- Police in the Poconos said they have charged a dog owner, after his Pit Bull got loose and killed someone's cat.

According to State Police in Swiftwater, Christopher Ortiz's dog got loose and entered a home in Maple Lane Cottages in Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County on Monday night.

They said the dog entered the house around 9 p.m. and killed a cat in the house. The dog then attacked and bit the resident of the house.

State Police said they have filed two summary charges against Ortiz.
