Marion County woman accused of animal neglect pleads no contest

OREGON -- The Marion County woman whose horses and llamas were seized from a farm on Towers Road S.E. in March pleaded no contest this week to six charges of animal neglect, the Marion County Sheriff's Office said.

Mikerra Lane apparently likes having her mugshot taken

Mikerra Lee Lane, 36, will be sentenced by Judge John Wilson on Aug. 31. 

After deputies rescued the llamas and horses, they transferred the animals to the Willamette Valley Llama Association and the Lighthouse Farm Animal Sanctuary. These organizations will arrange for the animals to be adopted.
