COLUMBUS, OH -— Police officers were forced to shoot and kill a dog after it attacked at least two people at a southeast side apartment complex on Saturday morning.
It happened at about 9:30 a.m. on Burstock Court, 10TV's Maureen Kocot reported.
Resident Felicia Lee said a pair of German shepherds ran through the complex and one of them attacked a woman who lived in the building next door.

"I thought it was another dog getting attacked, but it was a woman," Lee said. "It was sad. She was screaming, hollering; it was crazy."
Patrick Lohr said he was walking his puppy when the two dogs ran toward him.
Lohr said it appeared the dogs just wanted to play, but then one of them sank its teeth into his leg, Kocot reported.

A short time after that, police officers arrived and shot the dog responsible for the attacks.
"I heard the big pop and turned around and seen him on the ground," Lohr said.
Humane society agents eventually captured the other dog, which residents said did not attack anyone, Kocot reported.

The 29-year-old woman who was attacked was taken to a hospital, but no details were released regarding her condition.
No one came forward to claim the dogs, police said.
