MICHIGAN -- An 11-year-old Redford Township boy was attacked by a Rottweiler Monday in the 1600 block of Hollywood.
The dog’s owner said she was expecting company and when it arrived her neighbor opened the front door to greet them, allowing the 8-year-old Rottweiler to escape. The dog reportedly went straight for the boy and caused multiple puncture wounds all over both legs.
The boy’s mother took him to Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center for treatment.
Police ordered a 10-day in-home quarantine for the dog and issued the owner a ticket because the dog was not licensed by the city.
