Man cited after dog attacks officer

WISCONSIN -- A Chippewa Falls man was cited for keeping a vicious dog Friday after the animal attacked a police officer, who used pepper spray to drive it back.

Kody L.K. Grimm, 18, 233 W. Central St., received the citation as the owner of the dog, described as a pit bull / dachshund mix.

According to Chippewa Falls Police:
A woman reported at 8:39 a.m. that she was attacked by the dog. When an officer responded, she reported that the dog did not actually bite her, but came running at her, forcing her to flee into a residence.

The officer went to Grimm’s residence, where the dog was lying on the porch. As the officer approached, the dog ran out at the officer in the street, growling and snarling. The officer sprayed it with pepper spray.
