KANSAS -- A six-year-old is recovering from a serious bite after being attacked by a dog. It happened at an Olathe home on Saturday afternoon.
Olathe Police say an animal control officer was sent to Olathe Medical Center after the girl’s parents reported the incident. The mother of the victim says the child was bit by a dog while the family was visiting the home of the dog’s owner.
The child sustained a serious bite to the side of her face and ear, and was treated for her injuries. The dog, a male Staffordshire Bull Terrier, was brought to the Olathe Animal Shelter by its owner, where it will remain pending further investigation.
