Pit bull Tasered by Pontiac deputies

MICHIGAN -- A pit bull was Tasered by Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies after it lingered in the 1100 block of Eckman in Pontiac, forcing a motorist to remain inside the vehicle until it was safe to exit.

Deputies were called to the area around 1 a.m. Thursday and distracted the dog, allowing the driver to get out of the car and go into the house.

The dog remained in the area, and as the Sheriff’s Office’s  Animal Control unit was en route, deputies Tasered the dog and placed it into an animal control bar.

The dog — a white pit bull with black spots — was turned over to Animal Control.

Deputies said the dog had no tags and had two broken chains on its neck.
