Woman fighting for life after pit bull mauling

TRINIDAD & TOBAGO -- Five pit bulls almost killed a housewife on Thursday at her Ste Madeleine home.

According to reports, Sherry Ifill, 48, was at her home around 6 p.m. doing chores when she was attacked by the pit bulls belonging to a relative.

The dogs attacked her and bit her on her abdomen and legs.

They dragged her several feet.

She was rescued by relatives and was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital.

Doctors told police one of her legs may have to be amputated.

Ste Madeleine police officers are conducting investigations.
