American bulldogs that mauled Schnauzer to death returned to owner

NEBRASKA -- Two dogs seized after a deadly attack on a small schnauzer won't be put down. A judge has ordered the American Bulldogs returned to their owner, but with tight restrictions.

Fact Finders first reported that the 12-year-old schnauzer named Dagmar died from injuries after being attacked while on a walk with her owner near 163rd and Q.

The bulldogs named Barley and Hops had gotten out an open garage door when a roommate moved out.

Owner Kyle Kruse pleaded guilty to harboring two dangerous dogs and fined two hundred dollars. But he's been ordered to follow nine requirements that include building special kennels and posting a dangerous dog sign on his front window.

The schnauzer owners believe the dog that initiated the attack should have been put down but they're satisfied the judge ordered restrictions.
