Eric Hawkins said he has filed at least three to four complaints about a roaming pit bull that has been entering his yard and terrorizing dogs in his South Walter Street neighborhood.

He found the dog Thursday morning inside his yard, along with his half-eaten Chihuahua-dachshund mix.
"He ate my dog. He ate the bottom half of his legs," Hawkins said.
The tiny dog, Snoopy, was covered by his own blanket as Hawkins waited for Animal Care Services to pick up the stray dog he had chained to his fence.
Animal Care Services collected the stray around 9 a.m.
Hawkins said he blames Animal Care Services for not responding to prior reports of the stray dog.

"This is what it took," he said. "Just bloody murder, pretty much. What if it was one of my kids I had to bury today?"
