Man and dog attacked while walking in Flint neighborhood

MICHIGAN -- A pit bull allegedly bit a 52-year-old man and his two-year-old German Shepard Saturday afternoon on Alvord Avenue.

The man told police he was walking his dog around 5 p.m. when the pit bull ran up and attacked the pair, according to a police report.

Upon approaching the pair, the pit bull bit the man on the right thumb before latching onto the two-year-old dog's neck.

The pit bull's owner eventually removed his dog from the German Shepard which suffered an open wound on its neck.

Police attempted to contact the pit bull's owner, but no one answered the door at the home. The case remains under investigation.
