SOUTH CAROLINA -- A Fort Mill woman says a neighbor's pit bull attacked her dog Saturday.
The 64-year-old says she was walking her Dachshund in their back yard on Dogwood Court when a pit bull attacked her dog, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report. The Dachshund was treated at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte for a puncture wound and skin tearing.
The woman has talked to her neighbor and doesn't plan to press charges, the report states.
This is the second incident in a week of a pit bull attacking another animal.
A York County woman reported a pit bull attacking one of her cows last week.
The 26-year-old McConnells woman was at her Chappell Road home when she noticed a pit bull attacking one of her cows, according to another Sheriff's Office report. She had not seen the pit bull in this area before and the dog left before she could catch up with it.
York County Animal Control also responded, the report states. The cow will require medical treatment but is expected to survive. The extent of its injuries was not listed.
Also last week, a 19-year-old Rock Hill man reported a pit bull bit his dog and then him when he picked his dog up, reports state. He went to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment.
Animal control was notified in that incident as well.
