LOUISIANA -- A Houma woman whose pit bull jumped out of her car and killed a toy poodle was ticketed Tuesday evening, police said.
Cherae Eschete, 26, 225 Santa Monica Drive, told Terrebonne sheriff’s deputies that her pit bull jumped out of the car and attacked her neighbor’s black poodle before she could catch it.
The pit bull has never attacked anything else, and she made a mistake when she didn’t use a leash, Eschete allegedly told police.
Eschete is charged with ownership of a dangerous dog. Details on the pit bull’s fate were not immediately available.
