Virginia: Ricky Neff's Pit Bull ran around the trailer park until he found a victim and attacked her

VIRGINIA -- A town man was charged with several violations after his dog allegedly bit a neighbor.

An animal control officer was called to the Massanutten Trailer Park in Mt. Jackson for a report of a pit bull running loose on Feb. 16, Shenandoah County Sheriff's Maj. Scott Proctor said.

He said a woman from the area told the officer the dog had bitten her. Proctor said the woman's hand was injured, and she was treated and released from Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

Ricky Allen Neff, 52, of 724 Massanutten Park, was charged with having a dangerous dog, letting a dog run at large and not having a license for the dog, Proctor said.

Neff is scheduled to appear in Shenandoah County General District Court on March 16.
