Deputies shoot pit bull that attacked owners

CALIFORNIA -- A Kern County deputy shot a dog overnight in Oildale.

Deputies were called to a home on Bedford Way for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, the deputies were told the family's pit bull bit three people, and a woman accidentally stabbed her mother when she tried to stab the dog in defense.

The dog became aggressive with the deputies, so one of them shot the dog, according to the sheriff's office.
