CALIFORNIA -- The owner of a small Chihuahua is upset after a large dog jumped his fence and mauled his dog to death.
At six months old, Paco's life was cut short. His owner, George Griego, said Paco normally stayed inside or out in the backyard, but on Sunday he wandered to the fenced-in front yard.
Griego said a large dog jumped over a four-foot tall chain link fence and grabbed Paco.
"About five minutes later, he's coming back up and he's got my dog in his mouth," Griego explained.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 went to the owner of the dog's house, but a woman said the real owner of the dogs was out of town.
She also said the dog that bit Paco was at the dog pound.

Griego said responsible ownership means keeping your dogs on your own property.
It is unclear if the owner of the large dog faces any criminal charges.
Griego said his puppy was valued at about $1,200 and is thinking about suing the large dog's owner.
