UNITED KINGDOM -- A man has been arrested on suspicion of owning a dangerous dog which viciously attacked another pet in a park.
The 29-year-old, from the Walthamstow area, is accused of owning the Pit bull-like animal which savaged a Jack Russell in Walthamstow's Lloyd Park at around 1.30pm on Saturday (May 19).

The 10-year-old, called Sparky, suffered serious neck injuries and is currently undergoing treatment by a vet in Wanstead.
A Met spokeswoman said the arrested man was suspected of owning "a dog dangerously out of control in a public place".
He has been released on bail until next month, but his pet has been seized by the force's dog unit in the meantime.
The Guardian understands that a policeman made the arrest while on patrol in Lloyd Park.
He spotted the man who appeared to match the description given by witnesses to the dog attack.
