Texas: Pit bull that attacked called "docile" by owner, victims upset that Animal Control didn't seize dog

TEXAS -- A vicious dog attack earlier this week left Kimberly Golden with 14 stitches.

She stopped to help a man and his dog that was being attacked, when the dog lunged on her arm.

Once the other man and Golden were able to get away from the dog, Golden was transported to the hospital, where she was told that animal control was looking for the dog.

The next day Golden found out that the dog was still at home.

Now her mother's Sandy Holt and Terry Wadford, want to know why they were able to speak to the dog owner, and inform them that his dog attacked their daughter, yet the city did not.

Deontay Higgenbottom says that "Bella", his pit mix, was a docile dog and never showed any signs of aggression to him or his family.

Golden's family says that Higgenbottom should pay for the medical bills that Kimberly incurred, but he disagrees.

Higgenbottom has since turned Bella over to animal control where she will be quarantined for ten days.
