CANADA -- Police say a man is in hospital with serious injuries after being attacked by as many as six dogs on a northern Alberta reserve.
St. Paul RCMP say the 21-year-old has extensive lacerations to his face and arms.
The man was walking along a road on the Saddle Lake reserve around midnight Thursday with two relatives when he was mauled.
The three passed a house, and a dog described as a pit bull or bulldog leapt at the man and bit into his face.
Other dogs, reportedly belonging to the same owner, also attacked as the victim’s relatives tried to fight them off.
Police say the attack did not end until the homeowner pulled the animals away.
