FLORIDA -- A deputy was forced to shoot and kill a pit bull.
Deputies said the dog chased after pedestrians near Northwest 27th Avenue and 15th Street, Friday.

The pit bull then went after a Broward Sheriff's Office deputy, who shot and killed the dog on the scene.
The dog's owner now faces charges and fines.
