Coming to a city near you - killer pit bull

KANSAS -- A Wichita dog, found to be dangerous and ordered to be put down, is given another chance, but not everyone is happy about it.

"Griffin" is a 9-year-old pit bull mix. Animal Control has five reports of Griffin attacking smaller dogs in a three-year period.

In March, Griffin killed a Chihuahua while neighbors watched.

"I seen him grab the dog," said Carrie Delohoya-Morehouse." He was shaking him like a rag doll."

[For some reason, authorities kept giving the pit bull owner another chance. And another. And another.]  His owner Janice Claypole was ordered to keep him confined.

After the death of the Chihuahua, Griffin's time was up. However, Claypole appealed and put the word out online, hoping to save Griffin.

A rescue shelter came forward and took Griffin. He can never to return to Wichita. The shelter will retrain the dog and possibly adopt him out.

Claypole says she is disappointed she can't have Griffin home, but says she's thankful he's alive.

[Don't you love how Janice Claypole's friends/relatives/loved ones care enough to sign her petition to save her killer dog? How nice of them!

Not one of them has the nerve or brains to tell her, "Janice, I know you love your dog. But you've had three years to figure out how to keep your stupid dog from getting loose and attacking and killing pets - and you haven't done it. Enough with the excuses! What happens when your dog moves up to attacking small children? You need to accept that you are 100% responsible for your dog's actions and do the right thing: put him to sleep."]
