Police find owner of dog who bit woman

WISCONSIN -- Police found the owner of a Doberman who bit a woman Thursday, preventing the victim from unnecessary rabies treatment.

The owner was walking her dog last week on the 300 block of E. Pacific Street when the doberman attacked a 54-year-old woman, sending her to the hospital. Police asked the public to help them find the dog’s owner.

This week someone flagged down Appleton police Sgt. Andy Miles near City Park and pointed out the suspect, according to a police press release. The dog bite incident is still under investigation and Miles asks people with information about the incident to call him at 920-832-5836 .
