SOUTH CAROLINA -- Thursday night a 66 year old woman is recovering in the hospital after being mauled by two dogs.
"This could have been worst, a kid could have gotten killed today and it is all because a dispatcher did not call the police, they didn't think it was important enough, it wasn't important enough," said Delaine Kinlaw.
66 year old Marlyn Robinson was attacked by a Rottweiler and a Pit Bull. Delaine Kinlaw lives right next door and came to help Robinson when it happened.
"She was mauled up pretty bad, her legs were very cut up, the dog bit here eye, I mean she was in very bad shape," said Kinlaw.
She says earlier those same two dogs approached her son.
"After 10 this morning my son was going to the mailbox and then came running inside saying two dogs were chasing him, so I went to the door and the dog lunged at me and I called 911."
Kinlaw says the dispatcher told her there was nothing she could do and [told her] to call animal control.
She called 911 three [more] times asking for them to send an officer, but no one came.
"I blame the dispatch, she never called the cops to come out here and it would have saved her if the cops would have come out here, I am sure this would have never happened today."
[Why didn't they ask her why she flat out refused to do what the dispatcher told her, which was to CALL ANIMAL CONTROL! Why didn't she simply call Animal Control?! Instead, she dials 911 over and over demanding that a police officer respond. Animal Control officer = animals. Patrol officer = humans.]
Neighbors say there are a lot of children that play outside and because the dogs break out of their fence the kids are forced to stay inside.
Now Kinlaw's neighbor in the hospital all she can do is pray for her health.
"It's awful and now this lady has to go through this, its sad."
