A woman and her dog were attacked by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.
The woman was walking along Fields Farm Road near a pond with her Jack Russell when two Staffordshire Bull Terriers that were not on a lead ran towards her and attacked her dog.
Derbyshire Police said she picked her dog up and as she did so one of the terriers bit her hand.
The female owner of the bull terriers was described as white, in her early 20s, and thin with dark hair.
