OKLAHOMA -- Oklahoma City police say a man shot his dog after it attacked his wife Thursday.
Officers are investigating the incident in the 820 block of Southeast 70th Street. Investigators say the dog attacked the woman inside her home and may have bitten her on the arm.
Her husband, the dog's owner, then shot the dog in the head inside the home. The dog survived.
Animal control was also called to the scene and removed the dog who police say is a lab and pit bull mix.
There is no word on the severity of the woman's injuries. Police say the woman was taken to a local hospital.
