The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Thursday (September 6) in a walk way adjacent to Hockenden Lane in Swanley.
Jenny Goodall and her 23-year-old daughter Dominique were walking their 14-month-old Alaskan Malamute, called Makita, and a 16-month-old Shih Tzu called Angel.
As they passed a woman with a staffie and a staffie-cross, the male dog launched its unprovoked attack on Makita.
Mrs Goodall, of Lynden Way, Swanley, said: "It happened so quick. The woman was kicking it to get it off and screaming. My friend's boyfriend, who has a broken arm in plaster, eventually managed to pick the dog up and throw him."
According to Mrs Goodall, the woman claimed she worked for Battersea Dogs Home and had recently re-homed the dogs.
Mrs Goodall, 42, said: "The dog should be put to sleep. I never thought I would hear myself say that about any dog. But that animal has viciously attacked my dog and my daughter for no reason whatsoever."
Dominique was taken to Darent Valley Hospital suffering from puncture wounds to the back of her knee and calf after trying to save her pet, while Makita received puncture wounds to her leg.
Miss Goodall told News Shopper: "If it had been a child attacked like this it wouldn't have survived.
At the end of the day it should never have happened. If you can't control your dog keep it on a lead."
Bromley Police confirmed they had been called to the incident. A Battersea Dogs Home spokeswoman said: "We understand Kent Police were called to investigate an incident in Swanley involving two dogs.
"As we do not have any firm information on the circumstances of the incident, nor information about any injuries that may have been sustained, we are unable to provide any further comment at this time."
